Take a peaceful ride in our unsinkable kayaks.

They are safer than a boat or canoe, are very hard to turn over, and no roll training is required. These kayaks provide a relaxing platform to observe nature's wonders and the native heritage of our rivers and creek. You can ride the kayak in the Chattahoochee River or in our lake. Go back in time and paddle in the same areas as the Creek and Cherokee Indians did generations ago.

Your 7 mile kayak trip on the scenic Chattahoochee River includes seeing the historic Chief William McIntosh Reserve. Price: $85 per person for the seven mile trek. $120 per person for an exciting 14 mile trek.

Please Note: Group size is a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 18. We must have at least 6 guests to go out on the 14 mile trek.

Participants must be at least 9 years old. Shoes are required and all participants will be required to wear life jackets the whole trip. Trip times average from 3 to 4 hours for our 7 mile trek, and up to 6 to 7 hours on our 14 mile trek. Times depend on the trip selected and water levels.

New Kayaking Trips!

The Yellow Jacket Run on the Flint River. This exciting new trek will get your heart racing! Experience Class 2 and 3 rapids on the Yellow Jacket Run on the Flint River.

We depart the main lodge at 9am with about an hour drive to the Flint River (transportation provided). Trek is about 2 to 3 hours. Lunch is also provided. Back at the main lodge around 3 to 4pm. Price:  $149 per person with Minimum of 4 to open trek.

Please Note: Minimum age to go on this trek is 15years old.

The Cartecay River Trek.This kayak trek on a real mountain river is just the thing to get your adrenalin pumping! This little know river run is not only beautiful but the class 2 and 3 white water rapids are a rush! Minimum age is 15 years old.

We depart the main lodge at 8am (transportion provided) for an approximate 1 to 1 1/2 hour drive to the river. The run is around 3 to 3 1/2 hours. We will also provide lunch. Approximate return time to the lodge: 5 to  6 pm. Price: $149 per person with Minimum of 4 to open trek.

Check out the Cartecay/Screaming Eagle Adventure at Banning Mills. Now, a package where you can have the best of both worlds. Arrive at Banning by 4:30pm for a pickup at 5pm and transportation to the beautiful Cartecay River.

There, you will have an overnight stay on the river with dinner and a very peaceful night's sleep away from all the work stress of the week. Wake up to breakfast and get ready for some fast action kayaking on the Cartecay River (class 2 and 3 rapids). Lunch will also be provided.

You will be back to Banning Mills' main lodge by 5 to 5:30pm to check into your room and later have a dinner especially prepared for you by our chef! Get a good night's sleep and awake to a full country breakfast and then more adrenalin rush!

You will set out on the full extreme, zip line eco canopy tour. A safari in the trees with high speed zip lines, sky bridges,observation platforms and our famous Sky Trek bridge and Screaming Eagle 1/2 mile long zip line.

A picnic style lunch will be waiting for you on your return before your check out. Price: $889 for double occupancy and or $449 for single rate.  Minimum of 6 individuals or 3 couples to open trek. Are you ready? 

Please Note: You must be at least 15 years old to participate in this package and girls must weigh under 250lbs and gentleman must weigh under 285lbs. This package is not recommended for women that are pregnant, those with back problems, heart or respiratory conditions. Things to know to plan your trip. Trips are available all year long, except we are closed on Thanksgiving Day and December 22 through January 2 each year. We reserve the right to cancel trips due to inclement weather and to substitute treks due to water levels. A designated adult must accompany minors. Kayaking does require advance notice.

A 7 day cancellation notice, before the reserved trip date, is required. If the cancellation is less than 7 days before the event, 50% of the total charge will be assessed to the credit card on file. No shows or cancellations on the day of the event will result in the full amount being charged.
