TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES IN GEORGIA

Just 45 Minutes from Atlanta!

Explore our Team Building Programs at Historic Banning Mills

Your team will leave with more than a shared experience — tested communication habits, real trust built under pressure, and a story they will retell. Historic Banning Mills sits 45 minutes southwest of Atlanta in Snake Creek Gorge, where our certified facilitators have been running custom team building programs for groups of 6 to 150 since 2001. NASA, Porsche, Coca-Cola, the US Army, UGA, Georgia Tech, Georgia Power, and hundreds of organizations have come here for the same reason: we make the work stick.

We strongly believe outdoor experiences heighten the impact of team building and we have over 300 acres, 3 styles of team building options, 10 adventure tours, 5 lodging styles, a nationally recognized Historic District, hiking trails, and more!

DESIGNED FOR MEANINGFUL IMPACT

Real growth takes time. While even a short session can energize and connect a group, the most transformational experiences happen when teams are given the time to build trust, work through challenges, and reflect together.

For this reason, we recommend full-day experiences whenever possible. However, we understand that schedules and budgets vary, and we offer half-day and customized options to fit your needs.

Whether you’re forming a new team, strengthening an existing one, or simply adding structured engagement to a retreat or gathering, our trained facilitators will guide you toward the right experience.

Ideal for teams looking to strengthen their collaborative skills in a supportive environment, these initiatives ensure every participant can contribute and feel included. Orienteering Challenge Course

Strategy, Navigation & Teamwork

Using traditional map reading and terrain awareness teams must chart their own course to reach designated checkpoints throughout the property.

This experience adds a competitive edge as smaller teams strategize how to earn the most points within the allotted time. Each checkpoint carries a different point value, requiring teams to analyze risk vs. reward, distance vs. difficulty, and plan their route accordingly. At every location, groups must complete a team initiative before advancing.

Success requires thoughtful planning from the very start. Teams must communicate clearly, delegate roles, problem-solve under pressure, and adapt their strategy as they go. The result? A high-energy, outdoor challenge that builds camaraderie, strengthens decision-making skills, and rewards both collaboration and smart strategy.

  • Duration: Half Day
  • Group size: 14-70
  • Physical demand: moderate

The high ropes experience is ideal for developing confidence, trust, and stepping outside comfort zones — always supported by trained facilitators and safety systems.
